Dining Services ESA Policies


Please be advised that EKU dining services will be strictly enforcing the EKU Emotional Support Animal Policy. Emotional Support Animals do NOT have permission to be in dining areas, classrooms, athletic complexes, any other campus facility or event. The animal has permission to be in your room only. Exceptions are taking the animal outside to relieve themselves, or for exercise. When transported outside of your residence hall room, the Emotional Support Animal must be on a lease or transported in an animal carrier. Failure to abide by the Service and Support Animal Policy can result in discipline and/or removal of the emotional support animal.

The Center for Student Accessibility is responsible for reviewing, evaluating, and determining eligibility for any requested services and accommodations from students. We also provide confidential referrals for assessment (for undiagnosed disabilities) and other disability-related information.

We assist the University's legal and educational obligation to provide equal access to University resources, coursework, programs and activities by serving qualified individuals, and advocating for equal access for all individuals who qualify.

Mission Statement

It is the mission of the Center for Student Accessibility (CSA) to ensure that all students, at Eastern Kentucky University, are provided equal access to the campus at large; the physical environment, university-related programs, and activities by providing individualized accommodations/modifications, advocacy, academic guidance, collaborative programming, and outreach.
